DC Shoes are putting some real focus into their non-skate line up this fall. This most recent collaboration with SURU have brought to us the SURU x DC Life Xander high top. The coolest thing about these sneaks is the sole which was designed by Linkin Park’s own, Mike Shinoda. But overall this sneaker is clean with the the black leather and light blue stitching all sitting on that white vulcanized sole. The design is nice or the color contrast is outstanding. Look for these to drop in the holidays but they’re going to be limited to just 500 pairs.

Spike Lee and Jordan brand has collaborated again to bring you some kicks just in time for the new school year. This time getting inspiration from one of Spike Lee’s joints, School Daze. One of the sneaks actually rocks the purple yellow and white from the very same movie poster( you should remember)with a strap. Also, adding more to the school theme, the swoosh uses a varsity patch material to complete the look. The other sneaker has no strap, a leather swoosh and gets its colors from the fraternity, Gamma Phi Gamma, featured in the movie. This pack will surely sell out quickly when they drop soon.

Nike Dunks have become a staple in the streetwear culture. A way to identify one’s individuality or simply to seperate yourself from the rest out there. This week Nike is releasing the Hi AC TZ to add to any sneakheads collection. This sneaker comes in a simple design for those who prefer to keep it low profile. Reebok Super Chic Freestle Hi

This is some very interesting news for the lady sneaker aficionados out the there. Reebok has teamed up wit Londaon-based singer, stlyist, magazine founder and editor Namalee on a pair of new Super Chic Freestyle Hi sneakers. I’m going to officially call these, Wonder Womans. The sneakers look real clean with the metallic touch and the flag around the ankle wrap with the two golden straps. Cinderalla, I found your kicks right here. This collab is embodying the spirit of the Freestyle heritage and the strong females that rock them so well.

Michael Jordan into the Hall of Fame

Well, if you guys haven’t heard yet, one of our biggest icons in the streetwear game, as well as an NBA Legend, will be inducted into the Hall of Fame September 11th, 2009. Now, as some of you might know me, I am an all around sports fan and admire the legacy Michael Jordan has left in world of basketball. But no other athlete in history has contributed more to the sneaker game than this man. Because of this man, you are not rockin Hakeem Olajuwon’s or Sam Bowie’s (check ya history). Not to hate on these guys but Jordan was destined to land at his position and wreck much havoc to his opponents. His Air Jordan sneakers are also released on a timely manner and cause people of all ages to stay up hours and risk personal and professional backlash at the result of buying said shoe. I mean its something about the love for these kicks, that we who love them, can’t explain. Mr. Jordan has achieved so many accolades that it would take a book to catalog such deeds. So, with his first nomination, or should i say automatic bid, he is voted in. I will be watching and hope, those of you who appreciate his legacy on the court and admire his brand on the streets, will be watching too. He will be inducted along wit David Robinson and John Stockton on 9/11 on what looks to be another great moment.
