Burberry has recently launched the Burberry Denim Collection, a newly expanded denim line for men and women as part of its London Lifestyle S/S 2009 collection.
The women’s collection has six jean styles – skinny, boot, flare, wide, straight and cigarette all available in high, medium and low rise. The collection also features skirts and cropped trousers and the line’s color palette includes washes in black, indigo, mid-blue and white.
The men’s collection, meanwhile, comprises three jean fits – regular, tapered and slim in vintage blue, air force blue and navy.

Pinko, the Italian women’s and girls’ fashion brand, has signed with footwear manufacturer Zeis Excelsa a five-year licensing agreement for the creation, production and distribution of Pinko Shoes.
The debut F/W 2009-10 collection will comprise a line of fashion sneakers and casual city shoes as well as a mini-collection for girls.
Zeis Excelsa, a historic company from the footwear Marche region in Italy, has been producing shoes for 60 years under the brand names of Sonora, Docksteps, Virtus and Cult, and licensed names Merrell, Harley Davidson and Bikkembergs.

New strategies to stem the economic crisis could have been the overall message of Paris fashion week, which ended on Sunday with a show by Gareth Pugh.

Two trade producers are combining forces to create a new West Coast show in September: CLASS @ ASR. British designer Alexander McQueen and Puma have extended their collaboration to include sport-fashion apparel and accessories for men and women this fall.
